Disclaimer: I’m the opposite of an expert and too silly to be taken seriously. So don’t mind if I do nothing but make you laugh a little today!
In this episode of the podcast, we’ll dive into the complexities of modern dating and relationships. Specifically, we’ll explore the three types of men in the dating scene: fast-paced, slow-paced, and sex-paced. I’ll share my personal experiences and insights on what each type brings to the table, from the ambitious Type A personalities who are always on the go, to the laid-back, easygoing men who take their time. We discuss the challenges of dating while practicing celibacy, and the importance of honesty in relationships. This episode will help you discover what qualities you value most in a partner, and help you navigate the dating scene going forward.

We’ll explore the idea of “young people wisdom,” the importance of knowing your audience, and what Proverbs teaches about correction and instruction. Plus, we’ll discuss how to navigate social media without losing your peace, and why gentleness matters more than judgment.
If you’ve ever felt unheard or frustrated trying to share your insights, this one’s for you. Let’s reflect, learn, and grow together.

In this episode, I’m answering your questions in a Q+A, where I take a moment to reflect on some of the things I might’ve missed in the last episode ("Old People Wisdom"), respond to some of the amazing comments I received on Instagram, and dive into the questions you all raised. I will be sharing your thoughts and tackling the insights and feedback you’ve shared with me.
I’ll be reading through the responses, reflecting on what I’ve learned, and addressing some of the questions that made me pause and think. It’s a chance to connect on a deeper level with all of you, and I’m so grateful for the thoughtful comments you’ve left me.
This episode is a reminder of how valuable open conversations are—whether it’s about reflecting on our past, learning from each other, or just getting real with where we’re at right now. I hope it sparks something in you, whether it’s a new perspective, a moment of clarity, or simply a reminder that we’re all in this together.
Drop a comment, let me know what you think, and let’s keep the conversation going. Your thoughts always mean so much to me!

Old People Wisdom | Ep. 06

Friday Mar 07, 2025

Friday Mar 07, 2025

Lately, I’ve been thinking about the wisdom we often overlook in our fast-paced world—how the experiences of those who came before us can guide us through uncertainty, and how sharing our own stories can create connections that heal.
In this episode, I’m opening up about a time of transition in my life—one that taught me that even in moments of chaos, there’s freedom in embracing imperfection. It’s a reminder that we’re never alone in our struggles and that real growth happens when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable.
We’ll explore why wisdom shouldn’t be something we commodify, how the fear of judgment can silence voices that need to be heard, and why intergenerational conversations matter more than ever. Because when we create space for honest storytelling—without the pressure of branding or financial gain—we allow wisdom to flow freely, just as it should.
This episode is for anyone searching for guidance, for those who feel unheard, or anyone needing a reminder that their story matters. It’s about honoring the voices that shaped us, embracing our own narratives, and fostering a culture where wisdom is shared openly and without fear.
Drop a comment, share your thoughts, and let’s have a real conversation about the power of storytelling, connection, and learning from one another.

A Social Media Fast | Ep. 05

Friday Feb 28, 2025

Friday Feb 28, 2025

Lately, I’ve been reflecting a lot on how the digital world shapes our mental health—how social media can both connect and overwhelm us, and how taking a step back might be just what we need to find balance.
In this episode, I’m opening up about my own experience with a 10-day social media detox during a time when everything felt loud and chaotic. It was a moment to breathe, to tune out the noise, and really check in with myself. I’m sharing the lessons I learned along the way—how being honest about what affects us and giving ourselves permission to unplug can be incredibly freeing.
We’ll dive into the importance of carving out space for our own thoughts, the value of slowing down in a world that’s always rushing, and how real connections—away from screens—can help us process emotions in a more meaningful way.
This episode is for anyone who’s feeling the weight of constant information overload, those looking for a healthier relationship with social media, or anyone needing a reminder that it’s okay to step away for a while. It’s about finding peace in the pause, embracing our feelings, and remembering that it’s okay to process things at our own pace.
Let’s talk about how we can make space for ourselves, our mental health, and the relationships that really matter.
Drop a comment, share your thoughts, and let’s have a real conversation about navigating the digital world with intention and care.

I’ve been thinking a lot about growth—how we evolve, how we learn, and how we navigate the messiness of love and connection. Dating today feels like a mix of hope and hesitation, of wanting to be seen but also fearing what that really means.
In this episode, I’m sharing a piece of my journey—the highs, the struggles, and the moments that made me stop and reflect. From a meal prep disaster that turned into a lesson on patience to the deeper realization that being “found” in love isn’t just about someone else seeing you—it’s about seeing yourself first.
We’re talking about vulnerability, faith, and the quiet fears that keep us from real connection. What does it mean to be uncovered? To truly let yourself be known? How do friendships, faith, and personal growth shape the relationships we seek?
Let’s get into it. If you’ve ever wrestled with singleness, wondered if love will ever find you, or just needed a reminder that your journey is unfolding exactly as it should—this one’s for you.
Drop a comment, share your thoughts, and let’s have a real conversation about love, faith, and the courage to show up as ourselves.

I’ve been here—growing, evolving, watching, and learning. I’m in awe of the Black Community’s evolution over the last 8 years. I’m proud of the new choices I’m noticing.
I’m in the news again and I’d like to think aloud with you. In this episode, I’m peeling back the layers of what it means to be misunderstood, to be labeled, to be seen through someone else’s lens instead of your own truth. I talk about black joy, cancel culture, and the evolution of grace and freedom ideology years later. Do I need an apology? No. But there’s a lesson in all of this—one that’s bigger than me.
As it pertains to my personal journey, this is about peace. The kind that doesn’t need validation. The kind that doesn’t beg to be understood. The kind that just is. I pray my history book reads, “she sat still long enough to hear people’s hearts and lead with grace,”.
Let’s talk. What has changed over the last 8 years? Have you become more graceful with people you don’t agree with? Drop a comment and let’s start the conversation.

Some days, I feel like I’m on top of the world—like I can do anything, be anything. And then, there are days when just getting out of bed feels impossible. That’s the reality of living with bipolar type 2 and adult ADHD. It’s messy, unpredictable, and sometimes, just downright exhausting. I believe there is hope and victory for those with ADHD and bipolar.
In this episode, I’m pulling back the curtain on my mental health journey—the highs, the lows, and everything in between. I talk about depression, or as I like to call it, my “dead cat” days (yeah, we’re going there), and the manic moments that make me feel invincible… until they don’t.
But I’m not just here to vent. I’m sharing the things that actually help—things like therapy, faith, lifting heavy weights (because why not), and making my space feel like a sanctuary. Because managing mental health isn’t just about surviving—it’s about finding joy in the midst of it all.
If you’ve ever felt like your brain has a mind of its own, you’re not alone. Let’s talk about it in the comments. What’s been helping you lately?

Thursday Jan 30, 2025

The year just started, and I am already overwhelmed. Six back-to-back shows, debating between bundles or going natural, and don’t even get me started on my suitcase situation. But let’s be real—it’s not just the little things. It’s the big things, the blessings that feel too heavy to carry, the success that makes me question if I can keep up.

God has been blowing my mind, and instead of resting in His plans, I’ve been over here trying to micromanage everything. My little brother—who somehow got all the wisdom in the family—had to remind me: Didn’t you pray for this? And whew, that one hit differently.

So, in this episode, I’m unpacking what it really means to 'let go and let God'. To stop running, surrender control, and embrace God’s plans. To find peace in the chaos, and to mind my own anointing instead of sticking my nose in places He never asked me to be. And maybe, just maybe, to finally step into this Year of Sundays—a year of peace, of trust, of letting Jesus take the wheel.

Let me know in the comments: What are you surrendering to God this year? Let’s do this together.
